Mr Somebody? KING OF THE ECCENTRICS

Untitled

Independent Feature Length Documentary Directed by Michelle Heighway,

Featuring British Eccentric Jake Mangle-Wurzel

In April 2011 I attended a very useful workshop for independent filmmakers called Seize the Future,

organised by The Sheffield Doc Fest. I was inspired by lots of new ideas and ways to create

a buzz about my character driven documentary.

So far I have been following Jake Mangle-Wurzel since 2008; totally unfunded!

Using Mini DV tapes, super 8, and archived VHS tapes; I have so far managed

to gain 45 hours of footage.

Short Documentary Project (Who is Elaine Davidson?)

Short Documentary Project  Who is Elaine Davidson? (My first short Documentary after leaving University 2007)

As I walked down the street Elaine caught my eye. I was impressed with the visual array of colours from her hair braids and face paints.

She seemed to have a huge presence that I was drawn to. It was then that I approached Elaine and asked her for permission to make a short documentary.

In 2010 I licensed three minutes of Who is Elaine Davidson? to a company in Japan for FUJI TV, http://www.geonet-dm.com/home/. It will be screened as part of a full length documentary with lots of other unusual characters.
